A commission is an opportunity to have a one of a kind, bespoke piece of artwork customised to your style and vision for your unique space.

If there is a painting from one of my collections that you love but it is no longer available, or if you would like to draw out different elements from multiple works and combine them into a single custom painting, then a commissioned work is for you.

My approach to commissions is flexible and collaborative - I work closely with clients to produce pieces of art that bring both their vision and interior to life. We create custom color and material palettes, keeping in mind the lighting and placement, interior design styles, and the clien's intention for the purpose and meaning of the artwork. There is no limit to the size, as all paintings are custom made.

Process and Timescale

We begin with an initial discussion to outline the scope of work (size, style, framing, colour scheme), the details of which will be used to formulate a quote.

Location dependent, I will show sample pieces of artwork either in person or over Zoom. If you have a special reason for commissioning the work, we can talk about what meaning or mood you would like the art to convey, which colors and shapes hold those associations for you, so they can be incorporated into your bespoke piece. Once the details have been finalized, you will receive an email summary along with a contract containing the details and an invoice for any initial pament due before the work commences.

Once the work begins taking shape, I will share photo and video updates and ask for feedback, which will be incorporated into the work. There are usually two stages at which revisions are made: first, when the work begins to take shape, to ensure that the client approves of the general direction we're taking, and second, when the work is approximately 90% complete, at which point one round of minor revisions (which do not susubstantially alter the overall composition) can be made.

Although timeframes can vary depending on workload, the  typical lead time for a commission is between 2-4 weeks. Artwork can be shipped worldwide and is securely packed to ensure it is delivered safely to your door.

Payment

A non-refundable deposit of 50% is due up front, which allows me to begin working on the concept, procure supplies, and allocate the time necessary to devote to your artwork. After the commission is complete, the remaining 50% must be paid prior to shipping or local delivery. If you are interested in getting started with your custom piece, please fill out the contact form below will get back to you as soon as possible.
